Name: Luke fon Fabre
Age: 18
Hair: Red
Eyes: Green
Personality
Luke’s personality is fairly complex over the course of the game. From the beginning he is rather spoiled, selfish, and arrogant. He only thinks about himself and does things that fit his best interest, like running off to Cheagle Woods to prove that the Cheagles were thieves in Engeve and not him. He seems to believe the world owes him for all the boredom he’s suffered for the seven years of his life that he can remember. He is childish, rude, and very naïve about how the outside world works. And possibly worst of all, he has the inability to think for himself, preferring to listen to others and just go along with whatever they say. If something goes wrong, he blames others, and runs away from his own responsibility. But underneath the bratty exterior is an innocent child who is good at the very center of his heart.
After Akzeriuth is when Luke vows to change, and he really does. Doing an almost complete 180 in personality, he now does everything in his power to help others, constantly thinking about saving people and his world. Extremely repentant over all the problems he caused due to his own selfishness, he tends to become self-loathing and sad rather easily. His mental stability is very shaken by Van’s betrayal, and thus he has a hard time seeing the good side of things for a while. But he does act nice to new people he meets, and starts to say thank you to his companions for the things that they do for him. Luke does still have a snarky, childish attitude towards some things though, but that probably results form him only being seven years old in reality.
Once the Tower of Rem rolls around though, Luke’s confidence starts to build up again, especially after a talk with his companions about the confidence he lost after Akzeriuth. Knowing that his life is coming to an end soon, Luke begins to grasp at life and enjoy the fact that he does have time left. He stops disliking himself so much and stands up for himself against people like Asch and Van. He realizes that he is in fact his own human being, whether he’s a copy or not, and that his life is his own. He is him.
